About
Regions Department of Surgical Research is dedicated to advancing surgical and critical care through Investigator-initiated research. We believe that providing world-class clinical care includes an obligation to share our knowledge with the greater medical community. Leveraging the resources of our ABA-verified Burn Center and ACS-verified Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, we conduct research spanning a broad range of surgical specialties with a specific focus on improving outcomes after traumatic injury in the aging population. Our Investigators are practicing clinicians who aim to translate their research findings into tangible improvements in patient care.
