Alexandra M. Lacey MD, RD, FACS, FABA
Co-Burn Medical Director and Director of Burn Research, Regions Hospital Burn Center
About

As a physician and dietitian, Dr. Lacey has the privilege of spending much of her time at the bedside with her patients. As such, much of her research work today has been clinically oriented towards outcomes that directly impact her patients. Her research interests in the care of burn patients have included areas that are commonly overlooked, specifically frostbite injuries. In this realm, she has focused her study on the early diagnosis of severe frostbite injury as early diagnosis will hopefully lead to earlier intervention and therefore better outcomes.
