    <bibo:abstract>&lt;p&gt;The availability of genetic testing for neurologic conditions is increasing rapidly. Although several cases are discussed that present the different challenges confronting today's neurologist in using genetic testing, the focus of this article is on concepts and questions that neurologists can use to help make genetic testing decisions. Genetic testing is one of the most rapidly changing aspects of clinical medicine and will continue to evolve with the availability of whole-genome sequencing in the near future.&lt;p&gt;</bibo:abstract>
