    <bibo:abstract>&lt;p&gt;Many educators write letters of recommendation for residency applications for students applying in Emergency Medicine. Many of us use the Standard Letter of Recommendation. The SLOR Taskforce has been reviewing letter-writers current practices and gathering data in order to suggest improvements in the content of SLOR. In this session we'll learn what the data reveals and future directions of the SLOR.&lt;br&gt;Objectives: (1) Identify the important components of the Standardized Letter of Recommendation; (2) Describe the changes that will be coming to the SLOR; (3) List common pitfalls with writing a SLOR.&lt;p&gt;</bibo:abstract>
